We also use 4 digits postcodes in Switzerland, and I have successfully used this technique several times, always passed validation so far (i.e. either the comparison with the CC data is numeric and not string-based, or more likely non-existent in my case, possibly yours too). Also tried to raise funds for Safari, but my current customer is not using macs at all, so no way :-( well, maybe someday... The formular only accepted a postcode with 5 digits for Belgium and we only have 4 digits. So I send them (the organisation that manage the fundraising system) a mail (27/02/2007) to tell them that, and ask them to inform me when it's fixed.... I still have no answers from them..
